Symfonians app goes open source Mar 24th, 2008

Do I need to say more? Nope. So the source code of Symfonians.net is from now available through a dedicated Trac/SVN instance located at Symfonians.org and released under the terms of the Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 license.

I guess there won't be a lot of checkouts, but I hope this will be useful for people learning Symfony, or will give some ideas to others.

Champagne !

Sorry english-speaking dudes, you may have been a bit disturbed by the beginning of this post, but the french version of the Symfonians website is alive, if your DNS are kind enough to purge their cache according to my DNS TTL configuration ;)

If you're interested by providing a translation of the website interface in your language, drop me an email through the contact form of this site.

Full text search engine added Feb 14th, 2008

Thanks to the fantastic sfLucenePlugin, the website now has its own search engine.

I must tweak a bit more indexation rules, but in less than an hour I got a fully functionnal searchable index.

Kudos, Carl.

Symfonians weblog launched Feb 6th, 2008

Symfonians website has now a weblog. I'll use it to send some news about new features, mainly. Don't expect too much noise from it :-)

So, what are the new features for today, apart this weblog ?

  • You've now the ability to manage your skills from your profile administration panel. Just click on the Manage your skills button.
  • This way, people will be able to find you using the brand new skill-tags cloud in the people section.
  • I've also corrected some WPOD1 problems. If some are remaining, please don't hesitate to contact me.
1 The sadly famous White Pages Of Death, of course.
